table will be closed Saturday May 30th & Wednesday June 3rd while we attend to some important (non-bread shaped) administrative needs and to give our crew some time for much deserved rest and recreation after a few very busy months of baking some pretty excellent bread!
we’ll be back at Montezuma with our regular bread table next Saturday June 6th 11am - 3pm
AND
over at Keeping Together Brewery for pretzel night on Thursday June 4th from 4pm - 7pm
Thank you all, we are priviledged to get to bake for such a great community, and we’ll see you very soon!
all the best, Warren

grain of the desert is a small bakery and mill in santa fe, new mexico. we are devoted to bread, and we are devoted to the desert.
a new era for the bread labyrinth.
bread takes time and hands and we are afterall a rather small bakery with limited production capactiy. each week we tailor a well fit selection from our menu to bring to the bread table according to the season, production space, and a generous touch of whim.
our breads and pastries are home produced under the NM Homemade Food Act and are exempt from state licensing and inspection. may contain allergens.
we anticipate opening our new bakery & cafe on Montezuma Ave in late Spring / early Summer of 2026.
